Dr C. Edward Pitt is a full time GP and spare-time writer, from Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
He has worked 20 years experience in medicine. He serves as independent medico-legal expert in the field of general practice, and holds a number of executive positions on national and state level boards for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
In the early 2000’s, he was a regular writer for a nationally published Christian magazine, “Alive”. He published three other books: “Stress Out” (2009, 2014), “Hold That Thought: Reappraising The Work Of Dr Caroline Leaf” (2013), and “Fats and Figures” (2015).
In early 2016, his first peer reviewed article was published, “Cutting through the Paleo hype: The evidence for the Palaeolithic diet” (Australian Family Physician, 2016 Jan/Feb; 45(1): 35-38)
He is also a husband, father to two rambunctious small boys, coffee connoisseur, amateur actor and a terrible dancer. Whatever time he has left, he usually wastes it on Facebook.
